Tell us about the work — the community, the question, the feeling. A few sentences is plenty to get the right conversation started.
A handful of questions we hear before most engagements. If yours isn't here, please ask anyway — we'd rather answer it once than leave you guessing.
No. We work with organizations of any background, as long as the engagement aligns with our values around data stewardship, plain language, and respectful technology. Our partners so far are Indigenous Nations and organizations — but that is who has come to us, not a rule about who we take on.
It means we structure every engagement so that Indigenous data, knowledge, and cultural expressions remain under community ownership and control. Data residency, governance, and access decisions are made by the community — we provide the technical implementation that respects those decisions.
We aim for 4–6 active engagements at a time across the studio. When we're at capacity, we say so honestly — and try to refer you to someone we trust.
It depends. Web engagements typically start in the low five figures; AI engagements are usually quoted as multi-month retainers. We're happy to co-apply for funding when that's the right path — and to scope phased work that fits a smaller starting budget.
Both. We're based on Vancouver Island and travel for kick-offs, community sessions, and key checkpoints. The day-to-day happens remotely.
Yes — that's the part of the work we think about most. Every engagement includes documentation, training, and a continuing relationship. We don't disappear when the invoice clears.
